Charlamagne Tha God is letting it be known that he regrets standing behind President Joe Biden back in 2020. He also had a few words to share about Kamala Harris by saying, he feels like she “disappeared” once they made it to the White House.
The Breakfast Club radio host reportedly spoke to Politico recently and shared how he has no plans to endorse President Biden and Harris in 2024 because he feels “burned” over his 2020 endorsement. “I’ve learned my lesson from doing that,” he told Politico. “Once they got in the White House, she … kind of disappeared.”
“When I give people my word like: ‘Yo man, I think we should be supporting Kamala Harris for vice president… because she’s going to hold it down.’ When we say those things and people don’t see her holding it down, that causes issues,” Charlamagne continued. While speaking to the news outlet he also revealed that he still receives backlash for endorsing Biden and Harris back in 2020. “‘Damn, you told us to vote for [them].’ Do you know how many people say that to me all the time?” he said.
This isn’t the first time that a known celebrity has spoke out about Joe Biden. Back in June, Stephen A. Smith also stated that he’s not voting for Biden.
“It’s just my personal opinion, that’s all it is. Take it for what it’s worth. Somebody’s gotta say it, so I’m going to say it. We need a new president in 2024. We need a new president,” Smith said. “Let me be very, very clear about where I’m going with this. That could happen to anybody. It’s not a big deal. I’ve tripped and busted my behind on several occasions, sometimes running up the stairs. It happens. It’s not the end of the world. It’s not evidence that he’s just not all there. But he is 80. He’ll be 81 by the end of his term, approaching 82.”

Smith also revealed that he voted for Biden and “not calling for him to be removed from office,” but rather seeking a new candidate for the Democrats. “Without trying to engage in any kind of ageism at all, because I don’t believe in it. There does come a point in time where there are certain jobs you don’t need. It’s not that you don’t need to be working, it’s not that you don’t need to be living your life, it’s not that you don’t need to be living a very vibrant lifestyle or anything like that, but there are responsibilities that are far, far, far more extensive than a typical 9 to 5 that somebody in their 80s may not need to be doing. I think the presidency is one of em.”
He continued: “But here’s one of my biggest reasons – and again, forget Biden for a second because this is no disrespect to him. What does it say about our country where we’re looking at an 80-year-old, who will be 82 if he wins the presidency again in 2024? What does it say about our country if that’s what we’re depending on?”
