As it was previously reported, the rapper sued Tasha K back in 2019 for posting several
videos where she made shocking claims about her, including that she had contracted herpes. Cardi took the stand in January and a jury found that the YouTuber had indeed legally defamed her.

According to a new report by @RollingStone,
Cardi has asked the judge to impose a so-called permanent injunction. Cardi and her lawyers allege in the new Thursday night filing that an additional court order is needed to force the host of UnWineWithTashaK to delete any remaining defamatory statements from her social media accounts and refrain from republishing those false statements that Cardi B has herpes, engaged in prostitution, used drugs, and committed adultery, the news site notes:

“Not all of the videos and posts containing the defamatory statements have been removed from defendants’ social media accounts.”

As Rolling Stone reports, the filing goes on to point out that Tasha K said she will not stop posting defamatory statements unless compelled by the court. Rolling Stone notes that as of Thursday night, multiple posts on Tasha’s accounts with defamatory material remained active.

“Plaintiff filed this action because defendants refused to stop targeting her with harmful and disgusting lies,” Cardi’s attorneys wrote. “Damages alone are inadequate to address the constant ongoing threat of defendants repeating the defamatory statements [and] defendants have explicitly said that they will continue publishing the defamatory statements unless an injunction is issued.”

Cardi’s attorneys notes that the blogger does not have a constitutional right to “false and defamatory speech.” As Billboard reports, Tasha is expected to file an appeal to the federal 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
