This Monday it was announced that Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has been suspended by the NFL for six games for violating the league’s personal conduct policy following accusations of sexual misconduct, according to The Associated Press.

Disciplinary officer Sue L. Robinson ruled this Monday, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter. However, Watson will not be fined, the source told Schefter.

As we previously reported, for more than a year, Watson faced two dozen sexual harassment and assault suits from massage therapists. So far, he’s settled 23 of the 24 civil lawsuits against him, the one remaining is still pending. Watson has maintained that he’s innocent and denied ever sexually assaulting anyone. Two separate Texas grand juries declined to indict Watson on criminal charges, stemming from those allegations.

Watson previously spoke out and denied the allegations against him:
“I never assaulted anyone,” Watson said following practice as the Browns held their mandatory minicamp. “I never harassed anyone or I never disrespected anyone. I never forced anyone to do anything.”

He added, “I’ve been honest and I’ve been truthful about my stance,” he said. “I never forced on anyone and I never assaulted anyone. That’s what I’ve been saying since the beginning and I’ll continue to do that until all the facts come out. I did everything they asked me to do,” said Watson. “I answered every question truthfully that the NFL asked me. That’s all I can do is be honest and tell them exactly what happened and I know they have a job and I have to respect that and that’s what we wanted to do is cooperate. They have to make a decision that’s best for the league.”

As a result of their claims, Watson did not play last season while he was a member of the Houston Texans because of investigations into the allegations of misconduct including sexual assault and harassment involving more than two dozen women. Watson, who was traded to the Browns in March, is currently participating in the Browns’ training camp as he awaits the decision from the league.

Deshaun Watson has yet to make a statement regarding this latest development on his situation. Until then, let us know your thoughts on this in the comment box below!
