Just sad! Vinicius Jr is once again being the subject of racist abuse after the 1-0 loss to Valencia on Sunday.
Vinicius Jr is a Brazilian soccer player for Madrid and they took a loss to Valencia over weekend, but the game is being overshadowed because of the racist chants Valencia fans were making towards him during the game, which brought him to tears. Madrid’ boss Carlo Ancelotti is calling on La Liga to take meaningful action and begin seriously cracking down on the hostile environment that the Brazilian player continues to endure in Spain. During the La Liga match between Valencia and Real Madrid, the referee had to stop the match because Vinicius Jr was going back and forth with folks in the crowd. Once the ref and players came over to see what was going on you can see Valencia fans chanting racial slurs calling him a monkey and telling him to die.

After videos began to surface on social media, Vinicius Jr shared a post to his Instagram with the caption saying, “It wasn’t the first time , not the second and not the third. Racism is normal in La Liga. The competition thinks it’s normal, and so does the Federation and the opponents encourage it. I am so sorry. The championship that once belonged to Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Christiano and Messi, today belongs to the racists.”
