Bobby Shmurda Could Be Released In February
Bobby Shmurda might be released this year after reports surfaced that a conditional release was set for him in February.
As we previously reported, TMZ, noted that Shmurda’s initial parole was denied parole due to multiple violations while he was locked up, Some of the violations included, alleged drug possession, fighting, and allegedly being in possession of a weapon while in prison.
However, on Monday, per the New York state correctional records, a conditional release for the rapper has been set for February 23rd.
The records note “under certain circumstances an inmate may be released prior to serving his or her minimum term and before the earliest release date shown for the inmate.”

As we reported Shmurda pleaded guilty in September 2016 to conspiracy and weapons possession charges stemming from a 2014 raid at Quad Studios in Manhattan. Police discovered 21 guns, crack cocaine, and marijuana. In 2016, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to seven years in prison, which was eventually reduced to five years. He is currently serving his sentence in Clinton Correctional Facility, a maximum-security prison for men located in northern New York state.
