Beyoncé Pays Tribute To Lyric Chanel With Beautiful Medley
On Friday, we shared the heartbreaking news about Lyric Chanel, the beloved teen who died after years of fighting brain cancer and anaplastic ependymoma.
Lyric built a huge following as she documented her experience with cancer and shared how she was staying positive through it all. Lyric would often upload videos singing along to her favorite Beyoncé songs. The “Black Is King” star even came across Lyric’s videos and reached out with heartfelt messages and gifts.

After the news of her death became public on Friday, Beyoncé took to her website to sing her hit songs “Brown Skin Girl,” “Halo ” and “Love On Top” for Chanel.
Lyric it’s you/ You’re the one I love/ And you’re the one I need,” Beyoncé sings. “You’re the only thing I see/ Come on Lyric it’s you/ You’re the one that gives your all/ You’re the one I can always call/ When I need you baby everything stops/ You put my love on top.”
An accompanying video showed Lyric dancing and singing. “I love you with all of my heart,” Beyoncé said at the end of her tribute.
Lyric Chanel was 13. She will greatly be missed.
