Asteroid The Size Of Four Football Fields Heading Close To Earth

People across the US are concerned that a massive asteroid the size of four football fields is heading towards our direction!
The European Space Agency (ESA) placed this asteroid on the “risk list”, but it seem as if the ESA thinks it’s impossible for the asteroid to hit us. According to CNN, the ESA stated there’s a 1 in 7,299 chance of it hitting us. You’re more likely to die from excessive cold, which has a 1 in 6,045 chance of happening.
This isn’t the only asteroid that is on the risk list. Apparently, this is just one of 869 others that are near Earth. Currently It is traveling at a high speed—nearly 77,000 miles per hour, which also makes it the fastest asteroid to fly past Earth this year.
Astronomer Gianluca Masi of the Virtual Telescope Project snapped a picture of the asteroid on Thursday when the rock was around 20 million miles from Earth.
“The potentially hazardous designation simply notes that it is an important one to track and verify as zero, which is the case,” Richard Binzel, a planetary scientist from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, explained.
According to a few scientist they seem to think we will not see another asteriod this close to Earth until approximately 2196 and this is the closest one since 1901.
With the information scientist have given us it seems we shouldn’t have to worry about this issue. Socialites do you think we can put our trust in these scientist and not worry about this?
