Arkansas State Trooper Slams Then Punches 18-Year-Old Black Woman During Traffic Stop

A traffic stop in Mississippi County is making rounds on social Media after recently released dashcam video showed an Arkansas State Police trooper slamming and punching an 18-year-old woman.

The incident, which occurred on August 1st, appears to show the trooper punching the woman in the face after bringing her to the ground.

The trooper remains on duty while Arkansas State Police conducts an internal review of the incident.

Hackett has been charged with: resisting arrest, purchase or possession of alcohol by a minor, speeding 1-15 miles per hour over the limit, no seatbelt, improper display of license tags, and improper use of emergency lights.

Civil rights attorney Ben Crump is representing the woman, identified as Alisa Hackett. The investigation remains ongoing, with questions surrounding the trooper’s use of force during the traffic stop.
