Angela Bassett, Patricia Arquette & Felicity Huffman stole the show at last night’s Netflix premiere of “Otherhood,” a film that makes you want to pick up the phone and call your mom!

“Otherhood,” tells the story of three mothers who are best friends, but live very different lifestyles. Despite their differences, all three women connect on being unable to let go of their grown son’s who have left the nest to live their own lives in Manhatten. Director, Cindy Chupack revealed that she had been working on “Otherhood” for over a decade and it’s defnietly a movie that shows the growth and progression over time that is present in the bond between a mother and child.

After all of their son’s forget to give their mom’s a meaningful mother’s day, Carol, Gillian, and Helen begin to feel marginalized and forgotten. A couple of glasses of Bourbon later, these three long-time friends decide to drive to New York to reconnect with their adult sons, and in the process, they realize their sons are not the only ones whose lives need to change.

The film will have you laughing, crying and relating to every experience that these women go through. Whether you are a parent, a child or spouse, “Otherhood” enlists some life-long lessons; we will always need our mother’s and sometimes they need us too!
