The booked and busy rapper who recently welcomed a baby boy, first shared how she’s been able to manage being a super artist and a super mom. The mother of two admitted that she really doesn’t know “how I do it. To be honest with you, I’m tired, I’m exhausted, but it’s like; I just don’t ever want to fail nothing. I don’t like feeling like I’m missing out on anything.”

Well, Cardi sure isn’t! The star recently teamed up with Halle Berry for the first-ever all-female movie soundtrack for the film Bruised which they both co-produced. While speaking about that, Cardi talked about that process but also shared why she likes supporting other female entertainers:

“I just do it because that’s just how I am. I see female rappers like the strip club; I feel like everyone got their own little flavor, I always feel like I’m me, and I just feel like everyone is in their own lane.”

Speaking on working with the talented Halle Berry and her major compliment that she gave Cardi during her speech — calling her The Queen of Hip-Hop — Cardi briefly touched on the controversy and Halle standing by her comment despite a little backlash. The rap star said,

“I really didn’t see it as nothing,” Cardi said while speaking about all the talk over Halle’s comment. “I just hate when people make such a big deal about it.”

Aside from this, Cardi talked with us about her viral hair routine video, in which she says she’s open to creating a haircare line for fans. Check out what she had to say about that and how she plans to prepare for the AMAS which will take place on Sunday, November 21, and will be available to watch on the ABC network!
