Nick and Aaron Carter’s mom found herself in the slammer following an intense dispute with her husband over their television’s remote control, TMZ reports.
It was said that Jane Schneck was arrested Friday after getting into a verbal altercation that turned physical following a night of drinking.

It all happened when Jane was listening to loud music on the TV while at home. Apparently, her hubby couldn’t go to sleep and confronted her. Sources say Jane grabbed his wrist because he had whipped out his phone to record what was happening. But before things could get any worse, he called the police because he didn’t like how Jane touched him. When cops arrived at Jane’s Florida home, officers reportedly watched his cell footage of the alleged incident and decided they’d seen enough to arrest her for battery.
Jane was booked Saturday morning but later posted a $100 bond. She was eventually released from custody that evening. So what happened to the husband? According to the outlet he wasn’t injured during the fight and did not want to go to the hospital.
It’s unclear if the two were able to move past this weekend situation or if the married couple plans to separate.
Aside from this, it’s been a pretty tough year for the Carter family. As if we previously reported, Aaron Carter, 34, the younger brother of the Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter, was found dead at his home in Lancaster, California, on 5 November.
Despite reports, Carter’s mom Schneck, made a post suggesting that she’s adamant that her son was murdered after his body was found in a bathtub at his home. Back in March, she accused authorities of being dismissive of her suspicions because of Carter’s history of drug misuse. Jane also shared photos from the bathroom where Carter was found, including the dirty green water in the bathtub. Other images showed clothes lying on the floor and what looked like feces on the floor.
“Just did an interview with TMZ. I’m not backing off. A mother always fights for her cub. I’ll do the same for Nick. I just want a proper investigation,” Schneck wrote on one Facebook post at the time. “Yes he had a lot of issues but he never intended to die that way! The tub was still full. No evidence of him even being in there! No water on the floor. Also Betty the housekeeper is Mia (missing in action).”
In a second Facebook post, she wrote: “Not afraid of any one. I just want the truth. Too many things that don’t add up.”
According to an April update, the autopsy revealed that his death was caused by drowning due to the effects of sedatives he had taken and gas he had inhaled.
