On the November 5 episode of The Kardashians, Kris Jenner and Khloé Kardashian took a trip down memory lane on their mission gone left, one that involved Khloé’s then-husband, Lamar Odom, a hotel room, and a crowd nobody was expecting…
The story came out at Jenner’s Palm Springs home, where she hosted Kim Kardashian, comedians Nikki Glaser and Fortune Feimster, and actor Brenda Song. Over a sleepover-style game night with the cast of The Fifth Wheel, the 70-year-old matriarch, who admitted she’d taken an edible beforehand, set the scene. Song asked the group “what’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve done on a date” and let’s just say Kris went a little left field.
She said they had “intel” Odom would be at a certain hotel, and that Khloé declared they were going to get him. At the time, Jenner said, Khloé had realized Odom was using crack. Khloé’s security team entered first, and she says what she saw was a group of roughly 20 people engaged in group sex. In her words, “There were 20 people in the room.” Jenner said she went from feeling like one of Charlie’s Angels to full-on panic, and joked that Khloé charged in like she was on Hawaii Five-O, ordering everybody to put their hands up.
Khloé confirmed she started swinging at the people inside. Eventually she told everybody to leave, while Kris swept the drugs she found into the trash. Khloé, now 42, found the humor in it later. She joked that the ordeal changed her wish list for a future partner, adding “no circle jerks and no orgies” to the requirements.

As many are aware, Khloé was married to Odom from September 2009 to December 2016, tying the knot one month after they met. She filed for divorce in December 2013 amid his cheating scandal and drug relapse, though the split wasn’t finalized for three years, a stretch that included his near-fatal overdose in 2015. Odom, now 46, has been open about that period since. In his 2019 memoir, Darkness to Light, he detailed the sex and drug addictions that nearly destroyed him.
Odom’s addiction fight has been public for years, and his recovery has given plenty of people hope. The Kardashians retelling it now, with a laugh and a few expletives, reflects how far everybody has come from that night.
