50 Cent may have kicked the year off on a positive note but the rapper and business mogul is still determined to collect the $50,476 owed to him by reality star Teairra Mari.

For those who forgot, in 2018, the former Love & Hip-Hop reality star filed a lawsuit against 50 Cent and her ex-boyfriend, Akbar Abdul-Ahad, alleging that her ex had hacked into her Instagram account and shared explicit content without her consent. Mari claimed that 50 Cent further exacerbated the situation by reposting the content to his massive social media following. However, a judge ruled in favor of 50 Cent in 2019, dismissing all claims and awarding him $30,000 to cover his legal fees. Now initially, Mari was ordered to pay $30,000 in legal fees and an additional $5,000 in sanctions and other fees. However, due to her failure to make any payments, interest amounting to $14,000 has been added to the total, bringing the outstanding balance to $50,476.

Despite the court’s ruling, Teairra Mari has not made any payments towards the debt. In an effort to enforce the judgment, 50 Cent recently filed a Writ of Execution in Sacramento County, California. This legal document directs law enforcement officers to enforce the judgment and includes daily interest on the unpaid amount, Radar Online reports.

By filing the Writ of Execution, 50 Cent aims to escalate his collection efforts in Sacramento. While Mari’s last known address is in Atlanta, Georgia, the rapper believes she may have assets in Northern California. This legal action demonstrates his determination to recover the debt owed to him.

Mari’s Financial Situation:

During the court proceedings, Teairra Mari claimed to have no substantial assets or sources of income since late 2019. She expressed her desire to find employment in the entertainment industry rather than pursuing a traditional “nine to five” job. Per the outlet, the reality star said she was open to a payment plan with 50 but failed to propose a plan. However, she failed to propose a payment plan to resolve the debt.

The legal battle between 50 Cent and Teairra Mari continues as the rapper seeks to collect the outstanding debt. Despite Mari’s financial challenges, 50 Cent remains steadfast in his pursuit of the judgment amount.

Mari nor her legal reps have not yet spoken out on 50’s latest move.

Meanwhile, 50 Cent has been trying his best to be cool calm, and collected. The actor recently shared a post apologizing to those he offended in the past.

“Hey if I have offended you in any way, I like to apologize. We can get more done together, why we work against each other.”

Unclear if he’s willing to work with Teairra Mari. While we wait and see, let us know your thoughts on this in the comment box below!
