Youtuber Adalia Rose Williams, known for her videos spreading awareness about her rare genetic disease, has passed away at the age of 15.

The teen’s death was confirmed in an Instagram post where her family released the following statement. It reads, “January 12, 2022 at 7 pm Adalia Rose Williams was set free from this world. She came into it quietly and left quietly, but her life was far from it. She touched MILLIONS of people and left the biggest imprint on everyone that knew her. She is no longer in pain and is now dancing away to all the music she loves. I really wish this wasn’t our reality but unfortunately it is.”
She is known for bringing awareness about Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome, a rare genetic disease that causes an individual to age eight years for every year of their life as reported by the New York Post. Williams was diagnosed with the disease when she was three months old. In 2012, Williams and her mother started a YouTube channel that gained approximately 2.9 subscribers.

The family continued to write, “We want to say thank you to everyone that loved and supported her. Thank you to all her doctors and nurses that worked for YEARS to keep her healthy. The family would now like to mourn this huge loss in private.”
A cause of death is currently unknown.
