YouTube Star James Charles Apologizes For Messaging With Minors: ‘There Is No Excuse’
YouTuber James Charles is soaking out to apologize for his inappropriate actions.
On Thursday, the makeup artist uploaded a 15 minute-long video titled “Holding Myself Accountable” addressing recent allegations from minors saying he allegedly sexted them on Snapchat. In his video, Charles apologized for sending flirtatious messages while stating that he initially believed the minors were of age when he was contacting them at the time:

“These conversations should’ve never happened, point blank period,” the 21-year-old said in the video. “There is no excuse for it, there is no ifs, ands or buts and I take full responsibility for that.” He went on to say, “To the guys involved in the situation, I wanna say ‘I’m sorry. I’m sorry that I flirted with you and I’m really sorry if I ever made you uncomfortable.’ It is completely unacceptable.”
He later said,
“As an adult, it is my job and my responsibility to verify who I’m talking to, and therefore there is no one else to blame for this but myself.”
