UPDATE: Takeoff Won’t Face Charges In Sexual Assault Case

Looks like Takeoff is almost off the hook: According to TMZ, the Migos rapper will not face charges for allegedly raping a woman at a party last year.

As it was previously reported, a woman who filed a lawsuit under Jane Doe, sued Takeoff for sexual battery and assault, claiming he made her extremely uncomfortable at an L.A. party and then raped her in a bedroom. Following an investigation into the alleged incident, the L.A. County District Attorney’s office declined to prosecute the entertainer over the sexual assault allegations made against him in August 2020 due to insufficient evidence, TMZ reports.

Takeoff’s lawyer, Drew Findling, also says his office spent hours investigating the case and concluded the same thing as prosecutors: “The allegations were patently and provably false,” he told the news site.

Now, although the rapper’s been cleared of criminal charges, he’s still facing a civil lawsuit from the woman.
