Young M.A Updates Fans On Her Health: ‘I’m Doing Much Better, I’ve Been Very Much Sober’

As mentioned, back in March Young M.A, real name Katorah Marrero, sparked massive concern over her health after her barber posted a before-and-after video on Wednesday (March 15), showing the rapper getting an edge-up and her locs retwisted.

The concern was so severe that the barber, known as Fats Da Barber, came under fire. Fans blasted him on social media for sharing the footage as fans thought she looked very unwell.

Fats ended up responding to the backlash on his Instagram. He took to his instagram and said, “Y’all got so much to say as if I’m trying to embarrass my dawg. She reposted my video. If she didn’t want me to record she would have told me. Y’all don’t know our bond nor our friendship. What y’all need to do is just send your prayers for her and that’s that. She didn’t have a haircut in a month and she wanted me to bring her haircut back to life, and which I did!!!!! Thank you sis for coming and rocking with me like always. Love ya [prayer hand emojis].

Young M.A ended up reposting her barber’s Instagram Story onto her own and added her own message. She said, “We blessed. Don’t let that get to you blooda. And I told you it was like 4 months [crying laughing emoji].”

Since the incident, nearly a month ago, Young M.A has continued to update fans, as she shares a few new posts on her Instagram on Sunday (April 9).

She says, “Yo, what up, MAB. I know I’ve been low-key. Long story short, basically, you know. It’s a small setback for just a comeback. Unfortunately, I made a lot of wrong decisions in my life and things start to catch up with you, or whatever the case. I just want y’all to know, besides all that, I’m doing much better. I’ve been getting well, you know, I’ve been very much sober.”

The rapper adds, “But anyway, I don’t want to go specifically into details, ‘cause I really want to bring y’all along on my journey. So, besides dropping new music, of course, I also have a documentary with my story of whatever the case. So, I’ll keep y’all in tune and catch y’all back up, ‘cause I know y’all been wondering and all that. Y’all know I’m mysterious. You know, I keep my personal problems to myself. But, now it’s time to expand that and express that to y’all.”

In a second post, M.A adds, “Basically, to say, this gonna be one of M.A’s summers. It’s going to be one of those M.A summers, I promise you. So, stay in tune. You know what I mean. Bare with me too, man. Because I know it be me, it be me. My fault. I love y’all. But, you know. Things happen, unfortunately. But, I got y’all back. I’m still here and I ain’t going nowhere.” #Socialites, let continue to keep Young M.A in prayer and send her well wishes on her health and continued success!

Additionally, back in June 2021, Young M.A had announced that she was going to rehab, but then retracted her comments. That memory coupled with her absence on the music scene since her May 2021 album ‘Off The Yak,’ truly was the fuel to all of the recent fan concern.
