Previously, we shared a clip of 6ix9ine speaking with NBC6 South Florida about the Tuesday, March 21 assault. In it, he shared how it has been tough to watch the footage of his viral bathroom beatdown, noting that he thinks the altercation was “cowardly and opportunistic.”

He added, “I’m not mad because I know that in the street, there’s no rules. You can’t blame them, they saw an opportunity and they took it.”

As mentioned, the three men responsible for the attack have been arrested. Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has identified them as: 43-year-old Rafael Medina Jr. and his 23-year-old son Octavious Medina; plus, 25-year-old Anthony Maldonado.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office adds that one of the men are a high-ranking Latin Kings gang member. They also say that Maldonado was a member of the gym, and brought the Medinas in as his guests.

According to court documents, Medina Jr. confessed to the assault on a call with an informant, but a motive still remains unclear.

In the same interview we shared previously via NBC6, 6ix9ine — who says he was in a hospital bed for four days and is continuing to heal from his injuries — explains, “They arrived to the gym 10 minutes after I arrived. I’m in the sauna, and if you’re going to the locker room and changing, you can’t see who is in the sauna. So my immediate exit from the sauna, they knew I was there, it was calculated.”

When asked if he plans to sue the gym where he was attacked, he says, “Yeah, I mean, I’m thinking about it, yeah.” When asked on what grounds he plans to sue, 6ix9ine adds, “The guys didn’t have memberships, so it’s pretty obvious.”
