A new job position has emerged in Brazil where attractive women are hired to “hit on” their clients’ husbands to test their loyalty.

The term “loyalty inspectors” first gained popularity on TikTok, where women claimed to test the faithfulness of their clients’ spouses for 20 reals ($4) to 150 reals ($30). Oddity Central says other techniques involve sending WhatsApp messages and slipping into the husbands’ DMs. The loyalty inspector gives a screenshot to their client as proof after finishing their task. Nicolly, a 22-year-old woman, claimed that someone approached her on Instagram to ask her to check on her husband’s loyalty and that she later found a sizable market for the service.

“She came to me on Instagram saying that she thought I was very beautiful and that I was her husband’s type. She said that she was very suspicious of him because he had already committed a few times, so she wanted me to hit on him to see if he would fall.”

Nicolly pretended to send a message to the woman’s husband accidentally, and the pair began a conversation which led to a plan to meet up with each other in person. She sent screenshots of the conversation to the woman and was sent a decent amount of money for her work. The mother of one says she makes between 4,000 reals($800 and $1,000) from the job.

However, there is a downside to the profession, as one loyalty inspector said her client’s boyfriend found out about the plan after searching through her phone. The man contacted her and threatened to come to find 19-year-old Iasmin but eventually, the couple resolved their own issues. The young woman says she doesn’t accept any offers from future clients due to the incident.

The women have expanded their services by offering to test dates for clients who want to know if the potential partner is worth dating. Other women also pay the inspectors to go on dates with their unsuspecting husbands as further proof.
