Gabrielle Petito,22, was reported missing on Saturday by her mother Nichole Schmidt after she didn’t hear from her since August 25 after a FaceTime call and added that she received text messages from her phone until August 30th. Schmidt said her daughter and her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, traveled cross-country in the converted van on July 2 and documented their journey from New York to Portland, Oregon on their YouTube and Instagram pages titled “Van-Life”. Petito was last seen at the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.

“I don’t know if she left Grand Teton or not. I did receive a text from her on the 27th and the 30th, but I don’t know if it was technically her or not, because it was just a text. I didn’t verbally speak to her.” Schmidt added.

According to TOO FAB, investigators have discovered the van but her boyfriend has yet to make a statement about his girlfriend’s disappearance.
