Sadie Kemp,34, documented her experience on TikTok where she explained how her hand resembled a “shark” after doctors sewed it in her abdomen. Kemp sustained a deadly case of sepsis on Christmas Day after she started experiencing severe pain in her kidney and was diagnosed with a kidney stone. However, during the procedure to have the stone removed, her limbs became infected.

Kemp was placed in a medical coma for almost two weeks and doctors amputated all the fingers on her left hand then sewed the hand into her abdomen to sustain blood circulation. When she woke up, she realized her hand was shaped like a lobster claw or shark as reported by the New York Post.

However, her ordeal is not yet over as doctors are scheduled to reportedly amputate her other hand and both legs below the knees. Due to the multiple procedures, Kemp fears she’ll lose her home since she had to resign from her job as a medical worker.
“I have lost a lot through sepsis, my limbs, a relationship, independence and I just don’t want it happening to as many people as it does happen to,”
