A TikToker says American Airlines has lost both of her cats during a flight from Los Angeles to New York City.

Ariel Dale explained in the video that her beloved cats, Stevie Nicks and Mr. Tumnus, were stuck in a kennel for over 14 hours since their flight was canceled. She said she was moving to New York City for graduate school and decided to bring her cats with her. According to Insider, American Airlines is the only airline that offers nonstop flights for cats and Dale decided not to bring them on her flight because they tend to get nervous around other people.

Dale said when she landed in New York City, an employee had no clue where her pets were and it caused her emotional distress. “When the American Airlines worker told me they didn’t have my cats and didn’t know where they were, I panicked, and my heart dropped to my stomach. I immediately fell to the floor and started crying,” she told the outlet.

After waiting more than two hours, Dale added that she was united with her pets but American Airlines has yet to issue an apology for the inconvenience.
However, a statement was released by the airline and they said to the outlet, “We never like when travel plans are disrupted and are sorry for any inconvenience. Our team was in regular contact with Ariel throughout her pets’ journey and she has been reunited with her furry companions since then.”
