A woman is facing aggravated assault charges after she reportedly bit off a man’s tongue because he used it while kissing her.

According to WXYZ, Youlette Wedgeworth went to visit the man at his apartment. They began to kiss, and the suspect had informed the victim that she did not want him to use his tongue when they were kissing.

Prosecutor Eric J. Smith says that when the man didn’t comply, Wedgeworth bit part of his tongue off.

Police arrived at the apartment to discover the man bleeding from the mouth and missing a piece of his tongue. Police later located it in the apartment.

“I believe this is the first case of this nature in my 27 years in the prosecutor’s office,” Smith said in the statement.

The victim was quickly taken to the hospital to be treated and Wedgeworth was arrested and later arraigned on a $25,000 bond.

The misdemeanor charge could lead to a $1,000 fine or one year in jail!
