Jason Ugwuh,16, was shot and killed on Jan.10 near Paloma Avenue, and his sister, Tityana Coppage,21, tracked the suspect down via text message. Three days after the shooting, Coppage met up with her brother’s alleged killer in a parking lot on Thompson Avenue and fired multiple gunshots where he was hit in the chest and leg. Prior to the shooting, officers say Coppage called the man and said she hoped the killer and her father would settle their differences before hurting each other as reported by CBS affiliate KCTV 5.
Coppage said the young man shot at her vehicle first and she fired back in self-defense as noted in a probable cause affidavit.

Currently, Coppage is held at the Jackson County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
