Woman Arrested After Shooting At Her Ex And His New Boyfriend

A South Carolina woman was arrested after she fired several gunshots towards her ex-boyfriend and his new boyfriend in a drive-by shooting.

According to Gossip On This, Renee Lavonne Simon,53, was arrested Sunday night after Spartanburg police officers responded to a call about a shooting on Lincoln Drive. Simon’s ex-boyfriend reported to the police that she started shooting at him and his boyfriend as they were coming home. He explained that Simon was his ex-girlfriend and she was most likely upset for him moving on from their former relationship.

Prior to the shooting, Simon allegedly sent her ex threatening text messages and videos.

During the investigation, police say they found two bullet shell casings outside of the home but no one was injured. Simon was charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of pointing a firearm, and two counts of weapon possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

She is currently being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center on a $38,000 bond.
