Areline Martinez,20, and her ten friends were filming the short clip while she was blindfolded with her hands and ankles tied together in the Chihuahua neighborhood of Rigoberto Quiroz. The video shows Martinez sitting next to a man who played the role of a hostage when another man pretended to attack the pair. A third male starts waving an automatic weapon towards the group and the video shows him forcing the male hostage onto his knees then points the gun towards the back of his head.

Seconds later, the mother of one is fatally shot in the head with a handgun and the group fled the scene. Authorities said the shooting was reported by members of the group and they believed the gun was not loaded before filming the TikTok video.

‘One of the hypotheses is that they were tampering with a firearm thinking that it was not loaded [and] they shot the woman,”

The video was still uploaded to TikTok but it was unclear if the social media platform removed it due to its graphic content.
