In recent days, we’ve seen cases be resolved swiftly but that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen with Josh Giddey’s situation.
Law enforcement sources share that the new inquiry into whether the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball player had an inappropriate relationship with a minor has hit a roadblock. According to TMZ, the alleged teen and her family are refusing to cooperate with officials.
It was said that police have made an attempt to speak with the young lady and her family to gather enough information as they can. However, no one on that side wants to talk. Of course, this is making things much more challenging for officers who are trying to determine whether any laws were broken.

As we previously reported, the NBA began looking into anonymous claims made on social media that OCT guard Josh Giddey had an inappropriate relationship with an underage female.
After photos and videos supposedly supporting the allegations hit social media, the NBA decided it was best to look into it further. However, no actions were taken against Giddey. He still practiced Friday and played in the Thunder’s game Saturday.
Giddey who turned 21 years old in October, has since spoken out but gave a brief statement regarding the situation.
What Did He Say?
The rising star stepped up for interviews with reporters last week following practice. Immediately he was asked about the allegations made against him. One reporter said: “Josh, you went viral over the past couple of days over some pretty serious allegations. I know nothing is concrete there, but is there anything you can say as to that situation?” The Australian NBA star replied: “Yeah, I mean I understand the question obviously, but, err, there’s no further comment right now.”
Coach Mark Daigneault had a similar reaction when he was asked about the actuation.
“Personal matter,” he said, “and I have no comment on it. And that will be my answer on anything related.”
As of right now, it is completely unclear why the family is allegedly not cooperating since this is a serious case and also puts his career at risk.
