In an interview with Billboard, will.i.am said in 2020 that Fergie decided to leave the group to focus on her solo career plus her son and other business endeavors.
“That’s a hard job, and that’s what she really wants to do and we’re here for her, and she knows how to contact us for a retreat or a breakaway. It’s really the way Fergie designed it, so we’re respecting her design. We love Fergie, and we don’t want anything but awesomeness for her.”
Currently, Fergie has two businesses, Fergie Footwear and Ferguson Crest, a winery managed by her and her father. Sadly, her father, John Ferguson, passed away in 2021. However, there are no updates on her solo music career.
