Bodycam footage from Dennis “D.J.” Hernandez’s latest arrest has been released to the public and it shows the intense takedown where he asks cops to shoot him.

In the footage which was captured on Bristol Police Department body cameras on July 19 — Aaron Hernandez’s older brother D.J. is seen coming out his home with his hands up in the air, telling cops he’s unarmed. However, as officers are giving him orders, he urges cops to shoot him. “I’m not armed, but shoot me,” Dennis says.

Thankfully, the swarm of officers did not shoot but used a taser instead to take him down. The video shows the 37-year-old former Division football player eventually surrendering as he’s on the ground in pain. While cuffed D.J. tells the officers, “No one listens. I don’t do this s***” … before he added, “I need your help.” Despite how intense things were, cops assured them they were there to provide him assistance.

More On The Story

As we previously reported, Dennis “D.J.” Hernandez allegedly planned to carry out school shootings at UConn and Brown University. In new Bristol Police Department documents obtained by the news site, cops say Dennis has been showing signs in recent weeks of being “gravely disabled and a danger to society.”

BPD explained that several people have came forward earlier this month claiming D.J. had been sending out alarming text messages and had been acting erratically. One woman who even claimed to be his ex told cops that he took her car on July 7 and planned to go to his scheduled court date. Instead, he actually drove to Brown Univ and UConn and “went into a number of classrooms and buildings.” Cops say another person told them they believed D.J. had actually traveled to the campuses to scope it out so he could put a thorough plan together.

Dennis’ alarming social media post was also flagged down by the feds. It was said he was using threatening language in his July 19 post. It reportedly read, “Will I kill? Absolutely, I’ve warned my enemies so pay upfront.”

As a result of the strange behavior, police showed up at his home which led to a scary police standoff. Ultimately he was arrested and taken to a hospital to be evaluated. Once he was released, he was transported to the Bristol Police Department, where he was booked on charges of threatening and breach of peace, TMZ reports. His bond was set at $250,000. He’s due to return to court for a hearing next week.

More On Dennis “D.J.” Hernandez’s Legal Problems

As TMZ notes, this counted as his fourth arrest this year alone. Back in May, he led cops on a wild card chase before he was taken into custody. Days after that incident he was arrested again for allegedly throwing a brick with a handwritten note at ESPN’s campus. Earlier this month, he was arrested for skipping out on court for that same case.
