The older brother of Aaron Hernandez is in police custody after sparking concerns as he allegedly was planning school shootings, according to TMZ.

Dennis “D.J.” Hernandez reportedly planned to carry out these alleged attacks at UConn and Brown University. In new Bristol Police Department documents obtained by the news site, cops say Dennis has been showing signs in recent weeks of being “gravely disabled and a danger to society.”

BPD explained that several people have came forward earlier this month claiming D.J. had been sending out alarming text messages and had been acting erratically. One eye-raising message read, “We’re taking lives if s*** isn’t paid up. It’s been years in planning just taking notes, names, and locations. They talked their way into this and it’s almost point game.”

To make matters worse, one woman who claimed to be his ex told cops that he took her car on July 7 and planned to go to his scheduled court date. Instead, he actually drove to Brown Univ and UConn and “went into a number of classrooms and buildings.” Cops say another person told them they believed D.J. had actually traveled to the campuses in order to thoroughly plan school shootings.

Another alarming move by D.J. was his threatening language in a social media post that was pointed out by police. His post on July 19 read, “Will I kill? Absolutely, I’ve warned my enemies so pay up front.”

As a result of the strange behavior, police showed up at his home and had a scary police standoff. While trying to get D.J. out of the home, he allegedly warned cops that he was “on foot, armed, and that if we approached him, he would kill us all.” D.J. eventually tried to come outside but cops say he then “began advancing towards the police with his hands outstretched to his side.” Police added, “He began yelling shoot me and disregarded the numerous police commands.”

After being tasered, cops took him into custody. D.J. was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Cops note he was still making threats while there and said he would even kill “anyone who profited off of his brother Aaron.” Cops said Dennis, “mentioned specifically ESPN, but not any people.”

Once he was released from the hospital he was then taken to the Bristol Police Department, where he was booked on charges of threatening and breach of peace, TMZ reports. His bond was set at $250,000. He’s due to return to court for a hearing next week.

As TMZ notes, this is his fourth arrest this year alone. Back in May, he led cops on a wild card chase before he was taken into custody. Days after that incident he was arrested again for allegedly throwing a brick attached with a handwritten note at ESPN’s campus. Earlier this month, he was arrested for skipping out on court for that same case.
