Once again, Kim Kardashian finds herself at the center of controversy. This time it’s over a clip that has since gone viral.
Recently, she was confronted by pro-Palestine protesters during a panel discussion at the OMR digital and marketing trade fair in Hamburg. As the reality star was discussing business strategies, a woman in the crowd began chanting “Free Palestine” and had to be escorted out. However, as that was happening, Kim took the opportunity to express her own viewpoint by saying “Free everybody” on the mic.
Although the clip ended there, Kim did expand on her comment at the event. According to TMZ, she said, “I sympathize with the people of Israel and with those in Palestine. I sympathize with everyone. All we want is for everyone to feel safe and free.”

She added, that she has friends on both sides. She even talks to her kids about it and ultimately wants them to feel “Feel safe. And be good people and treat them with the same respectful way that you want to be treated. These are definitely scary times.”
Unfortunately, the video of Kim’s impromptu statement quickly circulated online, leading to accusations of hypocrisy and insensitivity towards the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Many argued that considering Kim’s previous advocacy for issues like the Armenian genocide, she should also condemn the situation in the Middle East. Many are even comparing Kim’s words to an “all lives matter” refrain may not be a fair characterization.
While Kim has previously expressed sympathy for the attacks that occurred on October 7th, she has remained relatively silent on the aftermath and ongoing events.
