Irv Gotti hasn’t been everyone’s favorite person lately following the release of his Murda Inc documentary on BET. Clips that have been circulating online have been getting him in a bit of trouble as he is heard talking about his past relationship with singer Ashanti.

In the third episode of the docuseries, which aired on Tuesday (August 23), Gotti recalled how his relationship began with the “Rain On Me” artist. He looked back on an interaction between the two of them after a studio session one night. He said, “I’m separated from [my wife] Deb, I’m on my own.” explained. “And Ashanti’s coming to the studio every day and our friendship and bond is naturally growing. She used to wear these juicy sweats and her ass was looking fat. Her ass was looking great.
“So, one day I was like, ‘Yo, I’ll take you home.’ She said, ‘Bet, cool.’ We are walking to her front door of her crib. She turns and says goodbye and I just kiss her and grab her ass and just, ‘Mwah.’ It was like, ‘What took you so long?’”

That didn’t sit well with fans online and neither did his Drink Champs interview where he also talked about the songstress. During that interview, the Murder Inc. founder claimed that the singer’s 2002 hit “Happy” was made after they “finished sleeping together.”

Fat Joe called him out online and also came at Ja Rule who was present during Gotti’s interview but allegedly stood by without defending his hood friend and collaborator, Ashanti.

Despite that, Ja Rule commented under our post and said, “STOP saying I didn’t defend sis and all women when I clearly told Gotti to stop calling Ashanti/women the B word same way I told Joe at Verzuz watch the interview before you talk shit… NOW LEAVE ME TF OUT THESE GROWN FOLKS BUSINESS… ❤️.”

At the VMAs, Irv was rushing to grab his seat before the show started but he stopped to speak with us briefly. We quickly asked if he’s cool with Fat Joe and Ja Rule despite the latest drama. Before he responded he gave a long pause and then said, “no comment.”

While he didn’t give us much of an answer, he made it seem like there was still a bit of tension between them all.
