The ladies of Cocktails with Queens weighed in on reports about Meagan Good dating actor Jonathan Majors and like always, Vivica Fox gave her very honest opinion.
Speaking on the hot topic, Fox admitted that the rumors about the new duo “absolutely caught me by surprise.” She continued, “I was ‘like Meagan! You done went from the preacher to the actor!’ You know she’s allowed to date and have fun,” Fox said. However, she went on to note that he’s been caught up in a lot of controversy over his recent arrest for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
“Before all the drama that jumped off in Jonathan’s life, unfortunately… you know he was the hottest kid on the block. Y’all remember him on the cover of Essence Magazine with them roses and them thighs.”
Fox said she ultimately “can’t be mad at her [Meagan]. But you know let’s just hope it’s not a stunt.” Before ending off on the topic, Fox added, “If they want to date and have a good time why not.”
More On Megan Good And Jonathan Majors’ Relationship
Earlier this month a witness claimed she saw the entertainers at the Alamo Drafthouse in Los Angeles to see a movie. Sources also told TMZ that the two have been hanging out over the course of the last several weeks. Although their relationship is “fairly new,” it was said that they’re not really trying to hide the fact they’re hanging out.
As of right now, it’s unclear how serious the two are as neither of them has publicly spoken out to deny or clarify these reports.
Before Majors, Megan Good was previously married to DeVon Franklin. They announced their divorce back in December 2021, after being married for nine years. The split was finalized in June 2022, which coincided with the week of their tenth anniversary.
More On Jonathan Majors’ Situation
Majors has been keeping a relativity low profile since he was arrested. As we previously reported, the Emmy-nominated Lovecraft Country and Creed III star was taken into police custody on March 25, 2023, in Manhattan on misdemeanor charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment in a reported domestic dispute with his ex. Despite Majors claiming he is innocent, he was still hit with charges and also a stay-away order.
In the latest statement following his hearing, the actor’s attorney, Priya Chaudhry, slammed prosecutors and accused them of having racial bias in the case. The attorney also reiterated previous claims that an abundance of “irrefutable evidence” was given to prove “that the woman is lying, including video proof showing nothing happened, especially not where she claimed.”
“This is a witch hunt against Jonathan Majors, driven by baseless claims. To be clear, there are no new charges against Mr. Majors.” The lawyer also claimed there was more evidence that would help exonerate her client but the team is “hesitant to share it, for fear the DA will tip the woman off to change her story again,” Chaudhry declared.
Majors is currently facing third-degree assault charges — a misdemeanor, with a maximum possible sentence of up to one year in jail. If he’s able to avoid serving time in the slammer, he could be looking at a three-year probation term instead. His next court hearing is scheduled for June 13.
