On Saturday (July 18), Andrew Tate, 39, and his brother Tristan Tate, 38, were arrested by US Marshals in Miami, Florida on a UK extradition request related to 59 rape and sex trafficking charges overseas.

According to the BBC, UK’s Crown Prosecution Service have added 38 new charges against the brothers. Andrew faces 42 (7 new) counts of rape, sex trafficking, and indecent images of a child. Tristan faces a total of 17 charges including two new counts of rape and 3 new counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation.
The total number of charges is now 59. The alleged offenses occurred between July 2010 and August 2017, however, the brothers maintain their innocence.

U.S. Marshal Raid Miami Boxing Event And Arrest Andrew And Tristan Tate
The controversial combat sports influencer brothers were in Miami for a bare knuckle boxing event. Andrew was scheduled to co-host the event alongside former UFC champion Jon Jones — who served as the American face of Russia’s IBA Bare Knuckle Boxing promotion.
Moments before fight night in Miami, U.S. Marshals Service agents raided the event and took the Tate brothers into custody on a sealed warrant. Police in the United Kingdom were seeking their extradition on handfuls of charges related to rape, sexual assault, and sex trafficking.

Andrew Tate And Tristan Tate Previously Arrested In Romania On Rape And Human Trafficking Charges
Elsewhere, the Tate Brothers have previously faced separate years-long criminal proceedings in Romania over allegations of human trafficking and forming a criminal organization to sexually exploit women.
In December 2022, the Tate brothers were arrested for alleged crimes in Romania. Despite them denying the allegations, they were still detained in the country to face 21 criminal charges. While Andrew faced 10 charges, Tristan was hit with 11.

By March 2023, the brothers were released from a Romanian jail and placed on house arrest. In August 2023, they were then released from house arrest. Then, in March 2024, they were again detained in Romania on a UK warrant for “sexual aggression.”
In July 2024, they were allowed to leave Romania under specific conditions. By May 2025, the Tate Brothers were again accused of rape and human trafficking as UK prosecutors filed new charges. A year later, they have now been arrested and will be extradited to the UK.
