UPDATE: Vanessa Bryant Must Turn Over Therapy Files In Lawsuit Over Kobe Crash Photos

As we previously reported, just shortly after a judge ruled that Kobe Bryant’s widow Vanessa will NOT have to undergo a psychiatric evaluation in her lawsuit against the Los Angeles County, they have now asked a federal judge to order her to produce all therapy records.

According to the latest update on the case, it looks like the county is about to get what they want as a judge ruled Monday that she must turn over therapy records in her lawsuit over photos of the helicopter crash scene where her NBA legend husband Kobe Bryant and their daughter died. Skip Miller, outside counsel for Los Angeles County, said earlier this month that the request for records was standard in such cases that claim damages from emotional distress. So far, an attorney for Bryant has not yet spoken out on this update.

Bryant is suing Los Angeles County and others over the photos, which she says caused her severe emotional distress and trauma after the Jan. 26, 2020, crash that killed all nine people aboard. The suit states that photos of the victims’ bodies were shared including being shown to a bartender.

Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and the others died in January 2020 when their helicopter crashed in Calabasas west of Los Angeles due to foggy weather. Christina Mauser, 38, an assistant coach for Team Mamba, and three members of the Altobelli family—Alyssa, 14, John, 56, and Keri, 46 were also identified as some of the victims of the deadly crash.
