#Socialites, come get a load of this: The person who dropped a little cocaine baggy at the White House earlier this month will apparently be getting off scot-free as the Secret Service is unable to identify a suspect, CNN reports.

Two sources familiar with the investigation spoke with the outlet to share the update. It was said that the Secret Service concluded its investigation into the illegal substance that was found at the White House after combing through visitor logs and looking through surveillance footage of hundreds of individuals who entered the West Wing in the days preceding the discovery. As we previously reported, the cocaine was found in a cubby near the ground floor entrance to the West Wing where staff usually conduct tours of the White House and pass through on their way into the building.

Members of the public who tour the White House usually are the only l allowed to visit the East Wing and Residence only. Tour members are typically not permitted to visit the West Wing, which is where the president, and vice president have their offices along with other senior administration officials…

After a brief investigation into this latest situation, the Secret Service was ultimately unable to identify a suspect, the source shared. In a summary of their investigation obtained by The Associated Press, the Secret Service explained, “Without physical evidence, the investigation will not be able to single out a person of interest from the hundreds of individuals who passed through the vestibule where the cocaine was discovered.”

More On The Cocaine Discovery

The Secret Service announced last week that it was investigating an “unknown item” found inside the White House complex on July 2:

“On Sunday evening, the White House complex went into a precautionary closure as officers from the Secret Service uniformed division investigated an unknown item found inside a work area,” Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement. “The DC fire department was called to evaluate and quickly determined the item to be non-hazardous. The item was sent for further evaluation and an investigation into the cause and manner of how it entered the White House is pending,” he said. President Joe Biden and family members were at Camp David at the time.
Shortly after that announcement, a U.S. Secret Service spokesman confirmed that testing showed it was cocaine found in the White House West Wing that evening.

Of course, the discovery of the drug that also led to a precautionary closure of the White House complex, has caused political concerns for President Biden as people are now questioning security measures for the building.

As expected, former President Trump has spoken out and slammed the media for its coverage. He questioned: “Does anybody really believe that the COCAINE found in the West Wing of the White House, very close to the Oval Office, is for the use of anyone other than Hunter & Joe Biden.” Ouch.

Biden has yet to publicly make a statement about this latest White House situation. Until then, let us know your thoughts on this in the comment box below!
