Welp, looks like someone at the White House got some explaining to do!
As we previously reported, a secret service official shared Tuesday that an investigation was underway after a “small amount” of a “white, powdery substance” was discovered in a work area in the West Wing on Sunday. At the time, the substance was suspected to be cocaine and triggered a brief evacuation as part of what the Secret Service described at the time as “precautionary closures.”
However, a U.S. Secret Service spokesman confirmed this Wednesday morning that testing shows it was cocaine found in the White House West Wing that evening. Now, there’s an investigation into how it got there. A source familiar with the investigation says the investigation will include consulting cameras and looking over entrance logs.

More On The Situation
The Secret Service broke the news on Tuesday and said it was investigating an “unknown item” found inside the White House complex:
“On Sunday evening, the White House complex went into a precautionary closure as officers from the Secret Service uniformed division investigated an unknown item found inside a work area,” Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement.
“The DC fire department was called to evaluate and quickly determined the item to be non-hazardous. The item was sent for further evaluation and an investigation into the cause and manner of how it entered the White House is pending,” he said. President Joe Biden and family members were at Camp David at the time.
Mr. Biden departed for Camp David on Friday evening and did not return to the White House until Tuesday morning.
So Who’s Allowed In That Area Near The White House
As the news site notes. members of the public who tour the White House usually are allowed to visit the East Wing and Residence only. Tour members are typically not permitted to visit the West Wing, which is where the president, vice president have their offices along with other senior administration officials…
As wild as this may seem, this would not be the first time illegal drugs has entered the White House. The rapper Snoop Dogg said he’d smoked weed in a bathroom in 2013, and Willie Nelson also confessed to smoking a joint on the White House roof during the presidency of Jimmy Carter.
