What Is A Pulmonary Embolism (PE)

For those who don’t know, a pulmonary embolism (PE) is a blockage in one of the pulmonary arteries in the lungs, usually caused by blood clots that travel to the lungs from the deep veins in the legs, a condition known as deep vein thrombosis (DVT).

As previously reported, the news of his passing was announced by manager Tasha Felder. She shared a post on Instagram that read, “Today, August 15, 2024, we have lost @clubgodzilla. BeatKing has been the best part of the club for over a decade. He has produced and worked with so many artists that his sound will forever live on. He loved his daughters @clubgodparenting, his music, and his fans,” Felder’s statement continued. “We will love him forever.” The heartbreaking news sparked a wave of tributes online, with many fans remembering his music and fellow artists showing appreciation for the impact he had on club culture.

BeatKing, whose real name was Justin Riley, rose to fame with his 2010 album, “Kings of the Club.” However, his career truly took off with the release of his 2020 track “Then Leave,” which became a viral hit on TikTok and Houston radio stations.

Throughout his career, he collaborated with stars like 2 Chainz, Juicy J, and Ludacris, and he recently appeared during Nicki Minaj’s tour stop at the Toyota Center in May.

He was just 39 years old and will be greatly missed.
