As previously shared, on Friday (March 20), Iran’s top military spokesman, General Abolfazl Shekarchi, warned that luxury resorts and tourist sites worldwide will “no longer be safe” for its nation’s enemies.

According to Daily Mail, Shekarchi told Iranian state television, “From now on, based on the information we have about you, even parks, recreational areas and tourist destinations anywhere in the world will no longer be safe for you.”

The threat not arrived at peak spring break — when millions of United States students are heading off to tourist hotspots nationwide and globally — but, it serves as a renewed concern that Iran may revert back to employing pressure-inducing and militant attacks beyond its region in the Middle East.

“Worldwide Caution: The Department of State advises Americans worldwide, and especially in the Middle East, to exercise increased caution. Americans abroad should follow the guidance in security alerts issued by the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.

Periodic airspace closures may cause travel disruptions. U.S. diplomatic facilities, including outside the Middle East, have been targeted. Groups supportive of Iran may target other U.S. interests overseas or locations associated with the United States and /or Americans throughout the world.
