As we previously shared, President Joe Biden has been sparking fury nationwide ever since he told America that on this year’s Easter Sunday (which falls on March 31), the country will also be celebrating Transgender Day of Visibility, a day of awareness to celebrate the successes of transgender and gender-nonconforming people.

On Friday (March 29), President Biden made his proclamation. However, it should be noted that since 2009, March 31 has been the designated day for Transgender Day of Visibility, it just so happens that this year Easter Sunday falls on the same day.

In an official statement, the Prez stated, “On Transgender Day of Visibility, we honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nation’s commitment to forming a more perfect Union — where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives.”

Biden added, “I am proud that my Administration has stood for justice from the start, working to ensure that the LGBTQI+ community can live openly, in safety, with dignity and respect. I am proud to have appointed transgender leaders to my Administration and to have ended the ban on transgender Americans serving openly in our military. I am proud to have signed historic Executive Orders that strengthen civil rights protections in housing, employment, health care, education, the justice system, and more. I am proud to have signed the Respect for Marriage Act into law, ensuring that every American can marry the person they love.”

Biden’s statement, which appears on the White House website, continued, “Today, we send a message to all transgender Americans: You are loved. You are heard. You are understood. You belong. You are America, and my entire Administration and I have your back. NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility. I call upon all Americans to join us in lifting up the lives and voices of transgender people throughout our Nation and to work toward eliminating violence and discrimination based on gender identity.”

Immediately reacting to Joe Biden’s proclamation, prominent politicians, Christians, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and more flooded social media platforms with criticism and feedback. Donald Trump, former President and presumptive GOP presidential nominee for 2024, blasted Biden.

Via his national press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, Donald Trump stated, “It is appalling and insulting that Joe Biden’s White House prohibited children from submitting religious egg designs for their Easter Art Event, and formally proclaimed Easter Sunday as ‘Trans Day of Visibility.’ Sadly, these are just two more examples of the Biden Administration’s years-long assault on the Christian faith. We call on Joe Biden’s failing campaign and the White House to issue an apology to the millions of Catholics and Christians across America who believe tomorrow is for one celebration only — the resurrection of Jesus Christ.”

Caitlyn Jenner, who has transitioned from the male-born Olympic athlete Bruce Jenner, also reacted, taking to her X account (formerly Twitter). Caitlyn Jenner wrote, “I am absolutely disgusted that Joe Biden has declared the most Holy of Holy days – a self-proclaimed devout Catholic – as Transgender Day of Visibility. The only thing you should be declaring on this day is ‘HE is Risen’.”

Joining the backlash bandwagon, singer and actor Tyrese is now condemning President Joe Biden for declaring Easter Sunday as Transgender Day of Visibility. Reacting to a headline about Biden’s proclamation, Tyrese shared a post to his Instagram on Resurrection Day (March 31) and began, “President Joe, I really really hate to put up this post sir. This is a REACH. I swear man y’all are just really really really taking things too far. Whoever you met with in your board room and signed off on this failed political chess move really really need to be fired. I am always über sensitive about people walking and living in [the] truth so there’s no problem here.”

Tyrese added, “If you are happy with your gender and wanna switch it up based on who you identify with, that’s your life do what makes you happy!! I say this and speak for every Christian and believer around the WORLD the LORD JESUS CHRIST IS MY LORD AND SAVIOR and HE is the the reigning ALPHA and the OMEGA, JESUS CHRIST!! Pick up your Bible, Mr. President. Jesus don’t do politics. Jesus is not a Democrat or Republican. Jesus is not to be used for political agendas or gains.”

Tyrese continued, “And if you haven’t noticed, there actually aren’t enough transgenders on this earth right now that could get you re-elected lol. This is a REACH. I never ever judge any man or woman. Do what you want with YOUR LIFE and your lifestyle. This is all going sooooooo far. I’m gonna turn off the comments because I don’t want anyone bashing or saying anything derogatory or bullying anyone in the gay community. This was a reach, President Joe, and I think we all deserve an apology. Pick up your bible, Mr. President. This is not an opinion, this is the WORD!”

Tyrese concluded, “‘I am the Alpha and the Omega,’ says the Lord God, “Who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty,’ (Revelation 1:8). And in case y’all are thinking that thought, I’m the furthest thing from a Trump supporter. I would rather vote for a homeless New York 7-foot rat in the swamps of the underground subways than support that orange dictator.”
