Caitlyn Jenner Speaks On Abortion Law: “I Support Texas In That Decision”

If you’re wondering why Caitlyn Jenner is trending once again, that’s because she’s sharing her thoughts on another controversial topic.

On Tuesday, Jenner, who is running for governor of California in a recall election said she supports Texas’s new abortion law — saying that while she supports “a woman’s right to chose,” she also supports Texas.

“I am for a woman’s right to choose. I am also for a state having the ability to make their own laws,” Jenner explained during an appearance on CNN’s “New Day.” She added, “So I support Texas in that decision, that’s their decision,” Jenner said. “But as far as being a woman’s right to choose, I don’t see any changes in our laws in California in the future.”

As we previously reported, Texas’ new law blocks abortions six weeks after a pregnancy, when a number of women do not even know that they are pregnant. The move came after the Supreme Court and a federal appeals court failed to rule on pending emergency requests brought by abortion providers.

Other states are even now considering enacting abortion laws similar to Texas, with Florida announcing last week that it would like to replicate the bill.

Caitlyn Jenner On Illegal Immigration: “I Would Provide Protection To The People That Are Here” But “I Don’t Want An Open Border”

Caitlyn Jenner who is now one of California Governor Gavin Newsom’s most high-profile challengers in the upcoming recall election, appeared on “CBS This Morning” today to talk about why she feels qualified to run. While there, she also shared her stance on a few important topic to voters.

When asked if she has engaged with the people in the Latinx community to find out what their priorities are, Jenner says she has and noted that she has also engaged with “all voters.” From there, the former athlete spoke about supporting a pathway to citizenship for undocumented workers.

The 71-year-old explained, “I would provide protection to the people that are here. They can stay. Legal status, they’ve been here for years… I don’t want an open border where you have drug lords… terrorists, bad people coming across, MS-13, bad people. We’ve got to keep that out.”

The California Republican gubernatorial candidate previously said she favors granting a path to citizenship to the 1.75 million undocumented immigrants in the state’s labor force. In an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, Jenner explained,

“I am for legal immigration, okay. What’s been happening on the border was honestly one of the reasons I decided to run for governor,” Jenner said in the interview. “I was watching people dying come across the river, kids in cages — whatever you want to call them.”

In her first big TV interview after announcing her run for California Governor, Caitlyn Jenner praised former President Donald Trump on Wednesday saying she liked him because he was a “disruptor.”

While appearing on Fox News’ “Hannity,” host Sean Hannity asked Jenner for her assessment of Trump’s presidency. She said: “What I liked about Donald Trump is he was a disruptor, you know. He came in and shook the system up, OK. A lot of people didn’t like that in Washington, D.C., but he came in and shook the system up. I think he did some things that I agree with, some things I didn’t agree with,” Jenner said.

The former reality TV star and California gubernatorial candidate also gave her thoughts on President Biden and Vice President Harris:

Jenner went on to acknowledge some disagreements on the issue of transgendered people with ex Prez telling Hannity, “I was more hopeful at the beginning. And – but there were some good things he did.” However, when it came to Biden, Jenner said, “I don’t think I’ve agreed with anything.”

She went on to say,
“I don’t think, since he’s been in there, he has done anything for the American worker, maybe other ones,” Jenner added. “So it is a – it is a 180-degree turn in our country, going the other direction, and it scares me.”

Caitlyn Jenner Labels Herself A “Compassionate Disrupter” Who’s Trying To “Save California” In First Gov Campaign Video

This Tuesday, Caitlyn Jenner dropped her first campaign video as she begins her race for Governor of California. In the three-minute ad that made its debut on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” the former Olympic athlete and reality TV personality branded herself as a “compassionate disrupter” fighting against “elitist” career politicians.

“California was once the heavy in the world,” Jenner says in the video. “We had what everyone else wanted. The American dream grew up here. Yet career politicians and their policies have destroyed that dream. It’s been locked away, closed, shuttered, left in the dark burned down. The government is now involved in every part of our lives. They’ve taken our money, our jobs, and our freedom. California needs a disruptor, a compassionate disrupter.”

She went on to say, “The American Dream grew up here, yet career politicians and their policies have destroyed that dream. I came here with a dream 48 years ago, to be the greatest athlete in the world,” she says over clips of her as an athlete in the 1970s interspliced with present-day footage. “Now I enter a different kind of race, arguably my most important one yet: to save California.”

She also says in the ad, “I want to carry the torch for the parents who had to balance work and their child’s education, for business owners who are forced to shut down, for pastors who are not able to be with their congregation, for the family who lost their home in a fire, for an entire generation of students who lost a year of education,” says Jenner, who is seeking office for the first time.
