She revealed to TMZ that she wants to focus on other businesses and producing television shows. Additionally, Banks shared with the outlet that she can’t fully focus on her other endeavors due to her current hosting gig. “I think it’s time to graduate from the dance floor to the stock market floor… from the ballroom to the boardroom. I’m an entrepreneur at heart… I think my heart, my soul, is into my business; it’s also into producing new TV,” she explained.
Banks joined the reality competition show in 2020 for Season 29, replacing former hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews, who was reportedly cut from the show without any explanation, as reported by Variety. Alfonso Ribeiro joined the supermodel as her cohost.

Previous host Len Goodman announced he was leaving the show and wanted to spend more time with his grandchildren.
“I’ve decided I want to spend more time with my grandchildren and family back in Britain. It’s been such a wonderful experience for me, and look forward so much to next week’s finale. I’m sure it’s going to be absolutely brilliant.”
Former host Brooke Burke claimed Banks acted like a diva after she replaced Bergeron and Andrews as the new host in 2020. Burke hosted the reality competition from 2010 to 2013 and shared her experience during an interview on David Yontef’s Behind The Velvet Rope podcast.
“There’s nothing wrong with that, and I’m not saying anything bad about her — be a diva! It’s [just] not the place to be a diva. Change is hard for everyone. They’ve gone through a lot on that show, that’s for sure. You are just not the star. Like, it is just not about you as the host, right? So, yeah, I think Tyra is great in a shining role. I will just say that.”
Banks has had her fair share of criticism, as she was accused of forgetting her lines and announcing the wrong bottom two during live broadcasts. She did apologize for her mistakes and addressed them in a TikTok video.
“Tonight I hosted the second episode of Dancing with the Stars… and, it wasn’t perfect,” she admitted. Yeah, I had a lot of fun but I messed up, I said the wrong words, but the thing is I kept going.”
I am happy for her ~ while she was never the right choice to replace Tom Bergeron, I wish her well with her business.

I don't watch the show, but I'm happy for its fans. It seems like she was not well liked for this job at all!
