Two Arrested In 2002 Killing Of Run-DMC’s Jam Master Jay
On October 30, 2002, Run-DMC DJ Jam Master Jay was shot to death in a recording studio in Queens. His murder had been a mystery for nearly 2 decades but according to breaking reports, two men are finally in custody for the brutal crime.

According to TMZ, Ronald Washington and Karl Jordan Jr. — who have been longtime suspects in the hip-hop pioneer’s death are now being indicted for his murder. The news site notes that the feds didn’t have much evidence to nail them at the time but have finally gathered just enough to prosecute them on charges of murder while engaged in drug trafficking.
Washington is already serving a federal sentence for robbery. Jordan on the other hand was taken into custody on Sunday. The New York Times notes that federal prosecutors will be announcing the charges some time this Monday.
JMJ, real name, Jason Mizell, was just 37-year-old when he was killed. His members Joseph Simmons and Darryl McDaniels have not spoken out on this latest update.
