Twin Girls Protect Their Mother From Alleged Attacker

A pair of Florida twins protected their mother while her boyfriend allegedly attacked her.

Authorities responded to a call about a domestic disturbance in Melbourne on September 13 and found the woman who said her boyfriend attacked her in her home after she told him to leave when he started drinking. During the assault, suspect Andrew Williams Jr,33,  was reportedly “entangled” with the victim when her two daughters started to attack him with several household items.

“The little heroes grabbed toys, sticks, and a hair dryer and began to fend off Williams to protect their mother. With the help of the girls, [their mother] was able to retreat to a bathroom for safety,” the Melbourne Police Department said in a statement.RELATED STORIES: Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Girlfriend Jade Ordered To Cease Contact After Domestic Violence ArrestAccording to TOO FAB, Williams reportedly fled the scene but was captured by police shortly after. He was booked into Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Jail. Authorities charged him with simple assault and possession of marijuana, and he is held on a $5,500 bond.

Neighbor Carrie Jacobs called the girls’ actions “a good thing” since their mother is still alive. “They protected their mom. It’s a good thing they did that because their mom is still here today,” she said to ClickOrlando.
