Trump Claims 25th Amendment Will ‘Haunt’ Biden: “Be Careful What You Wish For”

Tuesday afternoon, Donald Trump spoke during a visit to the US Mexico border wall near Alamo, Texas. While there, he weighed in on the process of his possible second impeachment.

Speaking about the 25th Amendment, Trump said: “Free speech is under assault like never before. The 25th Amendment is of zero risk to me, but will come back to haunt Joe Biden and the Biden administration. As the expression goes, be careful what you wish for,” Trump said at the start of prepared remarks near the southern border in Alamo, Texas.

“The impeachment hoax is the continuation of the greatest and most vicious witch hunt in the history of our country and is causing tremendous anger and division and pain, far greater than most people will ever understand, which is very dangerous for the USA, especially at this very tender time,” Trump continued.

As we previously reported, the House of Representatives is expected to vote Tuesday on a measure calling for President Donald Trump to be removed from office through the 25th Amendment in the wake of the violent siege of the US Capitol last week. CNN reports that invoking the 25th Amendment would require Pence and a majority of the Cabinet to vote to remove Trump from office due to his inability to “discharge the powers and duties of his office.” Pence has so far given no indication that he would take that action.
