Trump bid farewell to supporters and family, recounting his administration’s “successes” over the last four years. “We were not a regular administration,” he told a crowd of supporters, family, and staff at Joint Base Andrews, located in Maryland just outside Washington, D.C. “What we’ve done has been amazing by any standard.”
After letting his wife Melania say her final words, Trump went on to send well wishes to Biden’s administration. “I wish the new administration great luck and great success. I think they’ll have great success,” Trump said of incoming President Joe Biden, even though he never mentioned his successor by name. “They have the foundation to do something really spectacular.”
Before concluding Trump said he promises to be back in “some form.”
