Tristan Thompson has yet to meet his son Theo, whom he shares with Maralee Nichols. As previously reported, Tristan and his fling welcomed their baby boy back in December 2021, after the NBA player vehemently denied Maralee’s claims he had fathered her child and requested him to cough up $47,424 in monthly child support payments. A paternity test later determined that Tristan was in fact the dad, but from what’s been gathered, he has made no move to actually see the baby.
Sources have since told Us Weekly that the 31-year-old, who is already a father to five-year-old son Prince and four-year-old True, has yet to actually meet Theo, though it’s believed he “doesn’t have any immediate plans to meet his son face to face.” The insider added, “Tristan is very absent from Theo’s life. He hasn’t met Theo nor has he initiated any meetings.”

What’s worse, Tristan has yet to start making child support payments, which, if the court ends up ruling in Maralee’s favor, could see the basketball star owe the socialite hundreds of thousands in backdated remittance. The pair are reportedly not on speaking terms and are handling any of their legal drama through attorneys, which has ultimately affected their son, who has been left to grow up without his father in his life.
Earlier this month, the drama concerning Tristan’s lovechild unfolded on Hulu’s The Kardashians, as cameras rolled while Kim Kardashian came across court documents filed by Maralee, who said she stated she was pregnant with the athlete’s baby, but he had refused to acknowledge the pregnancy. In fact, Tristan responded to the claim, saying that while he did have sexual intercourse with Maralee, he was certain not to be the child’s father. A paternity test later determined that he was, indeed, the dad.
“This is Tristan talking — these are his words,” Kim said while on the phone with her sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kylie Jenner. “This is his whole declaration. He is asking for a paternity test and admitting that he had sex with her,. Khloé threw him his 30th birthday. So, he went home from the 30th birthday party, went to Houston, Texas, to play on the road — we can check his schedule — and then slept with this girl.”
“The whole thing that is so sad is that she wanted a baby boy. And now this girl is having f–king baby boy. A f–king random that he slept with one night? F–k him. I was so team him. We don’t know that [Khloé] knows. How do we know if she knows? That’s the thing. We don’t know. We have no f–king idea if she knows. She is not responding.”
Khloe has since ditched Tristan but appears to embrace the idea that they can still get along for the sake of their daughter, who they plan to co-parent together moving forward.
