Tory Lanez Is Reportedly ‘Scared For His Life’ In Prison After Being Transferred To A ‘Very Dangerous’ Facility

Page Six is reporting that Tory Lanez is ‘scared for his life’ while being in the slammer after being found guilty for the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.

“Tory is scared for his life and safety in prison. He feels like he is an instant and direct target because of his celebrity status,” a source told the news outlet. “He stands in at 5-foot-3, so his size is definitely a setback,” a source. The insider added: “He is housed with real hardcore criminals, murderers. So he is really hoping that his lawyers will be able to continue to fight for his freedom while still maintaining his innocence. The whole thing is a mess.” The source also added, that Lanez has shed a few tears while behind bars. “He definitely had his moments where he has teared up,” and that in jail he is, “realizing who his real friends are.”

As we previously reported, the prison that Tory has been transferred to has reputation of being very dangerous. North Kern State Prison in Delano, California reportedly holds about 4,000 inmates and has recently made headlines on local news station for some vicious crimes that took place at the facility. According to TMZ, Ramon Escobar is a known serial killer who who was recently charged with first degree murder after killing his cell mate, Juan Villanueva, 53 back in February. Also on July 4, 25-year-old Ricardo Saldivar  was found dead in his cell and authorities with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation are now investigating his death as a homicide. Inmates have also been accused of attacking staff members. According to the report, multiple inmates have found ways to escape the prison despite the facility being fitted with an electric fence around the perimeter.

As we previously reported, Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Prosecutors were looking for Lanez to receive 13 years, but the judge sentenced the 31-year-old rapper to ten. While being sentenced today Tory Lanez shed light on this whole ordeal and shared a few words to the victim, Megan Thee Stallion. Lanez said in his statement that Meg is “someone I still care for dearly to this day, regardless of what she may think of me.” He also referred to Megan as his “friend.”

He continued to write in his statement on how him and Megan first bonded. “We both lost our mothers. We would sit there and drink, and drink until we got numb. He also spoke about the shooting and said, “I said some very immature things that I shouldn’t have said. I revealed some secrets that I shouldn’t have revealed.”

the hand written letter, Megan Thee Stallion shared, “I’ve not experienced a single day of peace,” she wrote. She added, “He lied to anyone that would listen.” The letter continued to read of her saying, mercy is for people who show remorse and Tory Lanez has shown none. Her statement continued saying, “he not only shot me, he made a mockery of my trauma. He tried to position himself as a victim and set out to destroy my character and my soul. He lied to anyone that would listen and paid bloggers to disseminate false information about the case on social media. He released music videos to damage my character and continue his crusade. At first he tried to deny the shooting ever happened. Then, he attempted to place blame on my former best friend. In his tantrum of lies, he’s blamed the system, blamed the press and, as of late, he’s using his childhood trauma to shield himself and avoid culpability.”
