Tory Lanez Has Been Ordered To Be Placed On House Arrest Until Megan Thee Stallion Trial Starts

Welp, looks like Tory Lanez is going to have to get real comfortable at home as a judge has ordered him to house arrest.

According to TMZ, a judge made this decision following his latest encounter with singer August Alsina. As we previously reported, the entertainer was accused of putting the paws on Alsina back in September at a concert in Chicago.

As a result of his alleged actions, a judge in L.A. ruled this Wednesday morning that Tory needs to be on lockdown until November 28 — the start of his trial with Megan Thee Stallion. The outlet notes that prosecutors have said he continues to pose a threat to public safety and that monetary bail alone wasn’t enough of a deterrent, which is why they argued that Tory deserved to be remanded into custody.

Meanwhile, Tory’s lawyer Shawn Holley, tried to push back, noting that no charges had been filed in the Alsina case, and there were only allegations. But the judge ended up making the decision to have Tory be confined to his home with a GPS ankle monitor beginning Friday.

More On Megan Thee Stallion And Tory Lanez

Tory Lanez was accused of being the gunman who shot Megan Thee Stallion in the foot following a July 12 2020, pool party at Kylie Jenner’s house. While Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, was arrested on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, he was not arrested for allegedly shooting Megan at the time. On October 8, 2020, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office announced felony assault and gun charges against Lanez. Lanez has since pleaded not guilty.

In Meg’s first interview about the incident with Gayle King on April 25, 2022, she said the argument broke out between her, Lanez, and her ex-best friend Kelsey Harris as they left a pool party because the Texas-born rapper was “ready to go, and everybody else wasn’t ready to go.”

“What nobody knows is, I had to get the surgery the same night. I stayed in the hospital in California for maybe four days,” she said, adding that after her hospital stay she wasn’t able to walk. “I still have bullet fragments in my feet right now. I was very scared that I was not able to be Megan Thee Stallion no more,” she said.

In April, Lanez was taken into custody after a judge said he had violated a protective order by harassing Megan Thee Stallion online after the judge said some of his tweets where he tried to send clear messages to her. However, he was released just hours later after posting bail.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Meg shared her fate for Lanez: “I want him to go to jail,” Megan the Stallion said. “I want him to go under the jail.”
