Tory Lanez & Megan Thee Stallion Trial Day 1: Prosecutors Say They Were Intimate; Defense Says Megan Was Jealous Of Kylie Jenner & Fought Ex-Bestie Kelsey Harris

Kicking things off on day 1 of the Tory Lanez vs. Megan Thee Stallion shooting trial, Rolling Stone reporter Nancy Dillon continued to update her Twitter with details from the opening statements from both the prosecutors and defense teams.

According to Dillon, Tory continues to deny shooting Megan, as she plans to testify against him sometime during the trial.

Additionally, Dillon also reported that Tory’s legal team plans to provide a theory that Meg’s ex-best friend Kelsey Nicole Harris could have shot her former bestie — this as both Kelsey and Tory tested positive for gunshot residue.

Dillon continued to report that Tory’s lawyer, George Mgdesyan, believes the case is about “jealousy,” further suggesting that the incident all began with Megan being jealous of Kylie Jenner.

Continuing to update social media, New York City attorney Mohammed Ganga also spoke on the opening statements revealed during the first day of trial.

And during a livestream, Hip Hop Enquirer Editor-In-Chief and reporter Dennis Bryon also updated social media with additional information from inside the courthouse.

According to Ganga and Byron, the prosecutors claimed that the entire incident began after Meg allegedly called Tory’s music trash. Byron also reports that the prosecutors claimed the two rap stars allegedly held an intimate relationship — this in contrast to Meg previously telling fans and Gayle King that she was never involved with Tory in that way.

During his livestream, Byron continued to explain that while the prosecution claims the incident began after Meg allegedly insulted Tory’s music skills, the defense counters and says Meg was allegedly upset with Tory because over Kylie Jenner.

Byron reports that Meg wanted to leave and Tory did not, so Kylie allegedly “insisted that Meg leave.” Byron also mentions Meg’s ex-bestie Kelsey Nicole Harris, who the defense believes discharged the gun.

The internet continued to have a field day after Nancy Dillon updated her Twitter, revealing why Tory really apologized to Kelsey Nicole from a jail phone.

According to Dillon, Tory Lanez’s attorney George Mgdesyan claims that his client’s infamous, apologetic call from jail to Kelsey wasn’t about shooting Meg, but about him being sorry for “cheating on her” and for having “a sexual relationship with both [her and Meg].”

Tory’s attorney also reveals that despite gunshot residue being found on Kelsey, her fingerprints were never tested on the gun, so “we’ll never know.”
